Fox Hollow is proud to present the "Great Jazz Singers" Series, featuring some of the finest jazz singers in the New York/Long Island  region.  Pianist Robert Lepley and bassist Al Cardillo will be on hand to back up the singers.
     The great jazz veteran Roseanna Vitro opened the series on August 19.  We now are proud to present  a young  woman who is just starting her career.  Tierney Ryan is a super, up-coming jazz singer.  Recently Ms. Ryan performed with jazz legends Bucky Pizzarelli, Peter Rogine, Joe Carbone, and Jimmy Halpern, and she performed at Madison Square Garden for a Rangers game with an all-women's acapella group called “The Jingle Belles.”  In addition she was featured in her own show at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center in 2008 where she headlined in a tribute to Billie Holiday and Lester Young, and she will do another Billie Holiday tribute  in January 2010. 
     Ms. Ryan discovered her love for jazz just after high school and in the summer of ‘05 she attended the Janice Borla Jazz Camp in Chicago, where she studied with Judy Neimack.  She got her first regular jazz gig singing for three summers with [pianist Robert Lepley at The Crescent Beach Club in Bayville.  She has had numerous gigs at different restaurants including, 105 Harbor in Cold Spring Harbor, The Tea Lounge in Brooklyn, Ludlow Bistro in Dix Hills, and Terrace on the Park in Queens.  Ms. Ryan is a graduate of Five Towns College where she majored in Music Education.
